It’s almost that time again… time to start making and packing lunches for my daughter to take to school. I’m always looking for ways to make easy back to school lunches and looking for great containers to make packing it easier while keeping it washable and reusable.
The Rubbermaid Lunchblox Sandwich Kit is a multi-container kit perfect for easy back to school lunches. It comes with 1 sandwich size container and 3 smaller containers that are just the right size for “sides”, ie. fruit, veggies, crackers, pretzels, etc, plus an ice pack and they all snap together!

Modular containers snap together in multiple configurations to save space in your lunch bag:
- Kit includes specially designed Blue Ice™ pack that works with LunchBlox containers to keep lunches chilled on the go
- Containers are perfectly portioned for lunch foods commonly carried away from home
- Microwave-, dishwasher- and freezer-safe and BPA-free
- The Sandwich Kit includes a sandwich container sized for regular and specialty breads, two snack containers (perfect for yogurt or nuts) and a snack container (perfect for fruits, vegetables and chips)
I loved the sizes of these containers and that it’s not an all-in-one (connected together) so that if I need to pack a smaller lunch or configure the containers differently to fit in the bag I can. These containers are just the right size for my 2nd grader (or any school age child) so you can give correct portion sizes. I’m all for easy back to school lunches and think this will help me out when packing them.
The lids snapped on nice and tight and all the containers snap together with the ice pack in the middle to keep everything cold. My daughter did struggle at first to take the lids off the two smallest containers but did get all the lids off. And for the lunch bags that my daughter generally uses it wouldn’t fit inside when it’s all snapped together as a cube and would have to be separated.

The only lunch bag it fits in when it’s snapped together in a cube shape is the middle bag. My daughter uses the Hello Kitty one so we’d have to take the containers apart to fit them in. Or if we want we can get the Rubbermaid Lunchblox Lunch bag that is specifically designed for use with the Lunchblox containers.
The LunchBlox Sandwich Kit is currently available for purchase at Rubbermaid.com, Target, Kmart, Kroger, Safeway, Bi-Lo, Winn-Dixie, HEB, other grocery stores and select Wal-Mart stores. The suggested retail price of the LunchBlox Sandwich Kit is $12.99, however prices may vary by store.

Love this kit. Very compact yet not stingy with space and fits everything my 6 yr old loves! :)

That seems like a pretty nice little lunch kit for the price.

I love these, especially with all the locking small containers. I think these would be great for adults too!

I like the different sizes too so that everything doesn’t get all mixed into each other. And I’m all for proper portioning too! They’re pretty cute. :)
