Swingline SmartTouch Stapler & Staples from Shoplet.com {Review}

A well-stocked, organized home office is an important element in any home.  Whether you rent or own, go to work or stay home- everyone has to pay their bills, write letters or grocery lists, do school work or business work… you get the idea.  As part of a home office you need lots of different office supplies for lots of different tasks.

Shoplet.com offers a ton of different products to keep any home office or place of business stocked and ready to handle all the day to day tasks as well as bigger projects.  They offer everything from small items like staples and staplers to printers and office furniture.

I was able to review the Swingline SmartTouch Stapler and think it’s a great addition to my office space.  I loved the way it felt in my hand- ergonomic design, soft-touch, and not too heavy.  The stapling mechanism is very smooth, doesn’t take a lot of effort, and stapled 25 sheets of paper with ease!

I had the Swingline Premium Chisel Point Staples to use with it.  The staples are very sharp so go through paper and even cardboard with no problem, but when removing them (if needed) I’d recommend using a staple remover or you’ll poke your finger when trying to get it out (trust me, I know).

CON:  The only problem I had with the stapler overall, was initially loading the staples.  The Quickload tray pops open with ease with just a push of the button on the end, but the first set of staples I put in got jammed when I tried to close the tray.  Once they jammed up it was almost impossible to get the tray back open.  I had to use a tool to physically force the tray back open so I could clear the staples.

PRO:  Once over the loading hurdle though, the stapler worked like a charm.  It’s definitely the best stapler I’ve ever used to-date and the smooth stapling feature can’t be beat!  I would absolutely recommend it to anyone that staples papers often, or even just occasionally… as long as there’s no more staple-loading issues, it’s going to be a great stapler to have!
